Correct use and maintenance of solar cables in winter
In the cold winter, solar cables are an important part of the solar power generation system. How to use and maintain them correctly to ensure the stable operation of the solar power generation system has become a concern of the majority of users.
1. Choose suitable solar cables
(1)Choose qualified products: When purchasing solar cables, choose products produced by regular manufacturers and in line with international standards. Qualified solar cables have good conductivity, anti-aging and low-temperature resistance. The long-term working temperature of solar cables is -40℃~125℃.
(2)Pay attention to the cable model: According to the voltage, current and other parameters of the solar power generation system, choose the appropriate type of solar cable. The temperature is low in winter, and it is recommended to use solar cables with better low-temperature performance to ensure normal operation in cold environments.
(3)Reasonable reserved length: When installing solar cables, it is necessary to reserve a reasonable length to avoid cable damage due to thermal expansion and contraction.
2. Installation and laying of solar cables
(1) Avoid too small a bending radius: During the installation process, avoid too small a bending radius of the solar cable to avoid damaging the cable insulation layer.
(2)Keep the laying distance: When laying solar cables, keep a certain distance from other heat sources to avoid aging and damage of cables due to high temperature.
(3)Take anti-freeze measures: In cold areas, when laying solar cables, insulation materials can be laid under the cables to prevent the cables from freezing.
(4) Fix firmly: The solar cables must be firmly fixed to prevent the cables from falling off and wearing due to wind, vibration and other reasons.
3.Daily maintenance of solar cables
(1)Regular inspection: In winter, the inspection of solar cables should be strengthened, and problems should be dealt with in time. The inspection content includes the appearance of the cable, connectors, insulation layer, etc.
(2)Clear the snow: The snow on the surface of the solar panel will affect the power generation efficiency and should be cleared in time. At the same time, check whether the solar cables are covered with snow to avoid damage to the cables due to snow.
(3) Prevent rat bites: Rats are active frequently in winter, and solar cables are easily bitten. Rat repellers can be placed near the cables or other rat prevention measures can be taken.
- Prevent corrosion: During the use of solar cables, prevent contact with corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis to ensure the safe operation of the cables.
4.Troubleshooting of solar cables
(1)Cable damage: When the solar cable is found to be damaged, insulation treatment should be carried out in time to prevent short circuit accidents.
(2)Connector failure: Check the solar cable connector. If there is looseness or oxidation, it should be handled in time.
(3)Cable aging: During the use of solar cables, if aging occurs, they should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the power generation efficiency.
In the process of use, special attention needs to be paid to the operating conditions of the cable, and if any abnormality is found, timely measures should be taken to solve it. At the same time, in the appropriate temperature range, the selection of high-quality cable materials, and take appropriate protective measures to ensure the normal use of solar cables.
